BUKIHO:

Bukiho refers to the practice of weapons of a varied kind. We at the IB practice many weapons from the Karate style of Kenyukai Watanabe Ha. Some of which date back to 1100 A.D. Cir. The basic weapons are divided into wood and metal (or a combination) and short, medium and long weapons. The core weapons practiced here are Rokushaku Bo (straight), Jo, Sai and Ken. The weapons are practiced with the same intensity and format as all other aspects of Budo.

In addition we here at the IB practice several related forms of Koryu and Kobudo. These arts practice medieval weaponry and practice as well as their modern descendants. These arts are primarily born of the Yagyu Shinkageryu and Toyamaryu as a core. Such weaponry as the katana, naginata and suriken to name a few are common.
